About Us

A practice built on patience, not pressure

Raksa Dhamma was founded with one intention: to offer calm, thorough legal support to individuals navigating pension matters in Thailand — without the urgency that so often accompanies legal processes.

Our Story

How Raksa Dhamma came to be

Raksa Dhamma was established in Phuket by a small group of Thai and internationally trained legal professionals who had each, in different contexts, witnessed the same situation: individuals with entirely valid pension claims who were unable to act on them because the process felt too complicated, too cold, or too fast.

The name itself reflects the intention. "Raksa" in Thai means to protect or preserve. "Dhamma" carries the idea of rightness — acting in accordance with what is fair and true. Together they describe, fairly accurately, what we set out to do.

Since opening, we have helped individuals of various backgrounds and circumstances understand their pension entitlements, navigate documentation requirements, and — where necessary — put their case formally to the relevant authorities. In every instance, the client's pace and comfort have taken precedence over our own schedule.

Our Mission

To make pension matters manageable

Pension law in Thailand involves specific administrative processes, deadlines, and documentary requirements that can feel impenetrable without guidance. Our mission is to demystify that process — to explain clearly where a person stands, what options are available, and what each option realistically involves.

We do not offer a simplified service or a quick resolution. We offer an honest one. Where matters are straightforward, we say so. Where they are complex, we explain the complexity carefully rather than minimising it.

Plain-language explanations at every stage — nothing is assumed or left unexplained

Written summaries after each meeting so nothing is forgotten or misunderstood

Full transparency about what any next step would involve before it is taken

Our Standards

How we work — and why it matters

Thai Bar Association Compliance

All legal advisory work is conducted in accordance with the standards set by the Lawyers Council of Thailand. Our practice and personnel hold the necessary registrations for the services we provide.

Client Data Protection

Personal and financial information shared with us is stored securely and handled in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We do not share client details with any third party without explicit instruction.

Documented Case Reviews

Each client matter is reviewed and documented at every stage. We maintain a clear record of all advice given, steps taken, and correspondence sent so that nothing is lost and any queries can be answered precisely.

Informed Consent at Every Step

We explain each proposed action clearly before taking it. Clients confirm their understanding and agreement in writing before we proceed with any formal correspondence or representation on their behalf.

Transparent Fee Structure

Our service fees are fixed and disclosed in full before any engagement begins. We do not add supplementary charges during a matter without prior discussion and client agreement.

Accessible Communication

We avoid legal jargon in client communications. Where technical terms are necessary, we define them. Updates are provided regularly and at the pace the client prefers — not on a schedule that suits us.

Our Expertise

Pension entitlement work in the Thai context

Pension matters in Thailand sit across several legal and administrative frameworks, including the Social Security Act, the Government Pension Fund legislation, and in some cases the Civil and Commercial Code as it applies to provident funds and employment contracts. Navigating these requires a considered approach rather than a generic one.

At Raksa Dhamma, our work focuses specifically on individuals who believe they are not receiving the pension entitlements they are owed, or who need support understanding what they are entitled to in the first place. This might involve a disagreement with an employer about provident fund contributions, a question about survivor benefits, an issue with a government pension calculation, or a formal dispute with the Social Security Office.

Our team's experience with Thai administrative bodies and familiarity with the relevant documentation processes means we can assess a situation quickly, explain the realistic options clearly, and — where a client decides to proceed — represent their interests with care and precision. We are not a large firm handling hundreds of matters simultaneously. We take on a measured number of clients so that each receives attentive, unhurried support.
